Here are more new otcs that treat everything from aches and pains to chapped lips.

Traditional over-the-counter items are being replaced with products that have more pizzazz. Here's a look at some of the latest entries:

For aches and pains

Chattem is premiering IcyHot Heat Therapy air-activated heat patches to provide temporary relief of muscular and joint pain associated with arthritis, simple backache, muscle strains, and sprains. The patches come in two versions: Arm, Neck & Leg and Back.

The Mentholatum Co. is launching WellPatch Neck & Shoulder Heat Wraps. The product is supposed to provide powerful relief for stiff, aching muscles.

P&G is introducing ThermaCare Arthritis, an air-activated heat wrap designed to help manage the pain of arthritis flare-ups with 12 hours of heat. ThermaCare Arthritis is available in three versions: Hand and Wrist, Knee and Elbow, and Neck and Shoulder.

Vaso Active has two new entries: Osteon arthritis pain-relieving lotion and A-R Extreme for temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain. The company claims the products do not have an unpleasant odor or greasy residue.

Joint Juice Inc. is trotting out Joint JuiceFitness dietary supplement with glucosamine and vitamins. The product, which is intended to cushion and deliver joint comfort, comes in kiwi, strawberry, lemon, and berry flavors.

Hair and skin

P&G is bringing out Extra Straight Collection of Pantene hair care products that are intended to provide hair with a straight look for up to 18 hours.

The Dial Corp. is making available Dial YogurtHand Soap and White Tea &Vitamin E Pearls MoisturizingBody Wash.

Unilever is premiering Caress Exotic Oil Infusions Cream Oil Body Wash and Beauty Bars. The items blend creams with exotic oils.

Alberto Culver USA is launching St. Ives Swiss Formula Oatmeal& Shea Butter advanced body moisturizer.

Olivella is unveiling Olivella Moisturizing Oil. The product contains ingredients derived from virgin olive oil, Vitamins A and E, and squalene, which the firm claims is present in all sebaceous (oil) glands in the body. The company is also offering Olivella Face and Body Bar, made of 100% virgin olive oil, and vitamins A and E.

For men

Schick Quattro Titanium is a new entry from Energizer. The razor has an edging bladed for added precision.

The Dial Corp. is unwrapping

RGX Body Spray, powered by Right Guard for men in Surge, Chill, Rush, Refresh, and Crisp scents.

For lips

Blistex has added a new item to its Lip Infusion line of lip balms. Lip Infusion Soothing Splash is a liquid balm that delivers cooling medicated hydration to dry and chapped lips. Blistex, which has obtained a license to sell products under the trademark Jarritos Mexican soft drink brand, is rolling out Jarritos Mandarin Orange flavored Blistex Lip Balm.

Wyeth is premiering ChapStick 100% Naturals line, available in Botanical Medley and Lip Butter.

For diabetes patients

Abbott Diabetes Care is launching FreeStyle Lite blood glucose monitoring system. The meter requires no coding and uses a 0.3 microliter blood sample.

Glucerna Cereal and Glucerna Snack Shakes for people with diabetes are making their entrance from Abbott Laboratories.
