Specialty pharmacies selected for Cinryze, which is poised for approval Because a Food & Drug Administration advisory committee has given approval to Lev Pharmaceuticals’ Cinryze [C1 inhibitor, (human)}, the New York company is getting ready for its final approval and distribution. Lev has lined up three specialty pharmacies, CuraScript, CVS Caremark, and FFF Enterprises, to dispense the drug. In addition, it will launch a program called LevCare to ensure that patients have access to the product. Cinryze is designed to treat hereditary angioedema, a rare, life-threatening genetic disorder caused by a deficiency of C1 inhibitor, a human plasma protein.
