Vyvanse approved to treat adults with ADHD Approved in July 2007 to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in kids six to 12 years of age, Shire plc's Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate)is now cleared for adults as well. Shire said this makes the product the first and only once-daily prodrug stimulant approved to treat adults with ADHD.
