Nasal spray for allergies to launch next month
Alcon has received approval for a nasal spray for allergic rhinitis called Patanase.

Alcon, Inc. is launching Patanase (olopatadine hydrochloride) nasal spray for seasonal allergic rhinitis next month. The eye care company said the product acts quickly, is steroid free, and is approved for patients who are 12 or older. In clinical trials, the spray took effect in 30 minutes and lasted for 12 hours. Common side effects are bitter taste, headache, epistaxis, pharyngolaryngeal pain, post-nasal drip, cough, and urinary tract infection.
